Her album "Humming By the Flowered Vine" has an easy grace and beautifully pitched tone. Songs that would otherwise sound mundane, cloying or trite in other's hands sound intimate and delicately considered. That's not to say there's no passion, but the beauty is in the understatement and subtlety, the album hangs together well, with it's Dusty style opener through to the Lucinda Williams cover Letters (at least I think it's a cover...?).
